We are very happy to send the following rules at this day 5th of July
2005 for our branches and friendly Organization, Dojo, Group, etc in order
to understand fully about As you know the following rules are the result of 25 years of trial and error in the field of "Budo ( the Research of the Real fight for self-defence and the discipline through body and soul )". We feel that these rules have been time-tested and are one of the safest, most competitive and exciting rules in the world. Please prepare to take part in this tournament which will be held on 13th November 2005 in Tokyo. The 2nd World Kudo Championship consists of three main PHILOSOPHIES. Firstly the competition should be carried out with safety (as its most important point.) That is the main reason we use face guard protectors. Secondly, but the competition also must be exciting and appealing to the audience that is supporting the new sport (that is why we have adopted the "full-contact / standing fight rule." Finally, the competition should come as close to "real fighting"
as possible. Otherwise, we could not persuade others who are already practicing
a similar but less developed total martial arts. This is why we have allowed
many different techniques as long as they are not exceedingly dangerous. |
