What is the Hokutoki?

In Japanese "Hokuto" or comes from the word "Hokuto Shichi Sei" or which means Big Dipper, the guiding light of the northern hemisphere. The symbol "ki" can also be read as "hata", which is the word for flag.
Like the Ashes of Cricket or the Americas Cup Trophy of sailing, The Hokutoki or
is a highly prestigious symbol of discipline, bravery, and strength.

The Hokutoki

The Hokutoki is the ultimate crown of the Daido Juku spirit and annually two tournaments are held in its name. The Hokutoki Weight Tournament, in the spring and the Hokutoki Open Weight Tournament in the Fall. The Hokutoki Tournaments is a full-contact mixed martial arts tournament. (click here for rules)
