Karatedo-Daido Juku founded in Sendai, Japan by Jukucho Azuma
Takashi.
The first Hokutoki Tournament is held. 1981 Hokutoki Open Weight Championships.
The Hokutoki Karate Championships becomes known simply as the "Hokutoki."
